Nikola Tesla’s Cabinet of Curiosities I and II
Acrylic on canvas, 20x 20” each
Set of two paintings imagined as a homage to Nikola Tesla’s scientific inventions and everyday life.
Nikola Tesla was one of the greatest minds and visionaries of our time who practiced simplicity, almost asceticism, in his diet and his daily routine.
He enjoyed apples, honey, sunflowers, reading Goethe, Dante, Shakespeare, Pushkin, and Njegos, walks in the park and spending time with his favorite pigeon.
His room at the New Yorker hotel still exists and it’s available to the hotel guests.
The corner of West 40th street and 6th Avenue in Manhattan caries Tesla’s name.
These works were part of an art exhibition on display from September 13-15, 2024. in Chicago, during the conference dedicated to Nikola Tesla, organized by the Tesla Science Foundation.
